Frequently Asked Questions

Products & Purity
How do you verify peptide purity?

Every batch is tested by third-party laboratories using reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to confirm purity of 99% or greater. Mass spectrometry confirms molecular identity and weight.

What is a Certificate of Analysis, and how do I access one?

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a laboratory-issued document reporting batch-specific purity, mass spectrometry data, and identity verification. Each product page displays a representative COA. Batch-specific COAs can be retrieved through our COA Lookup page using the batch number printed on your vial label.

What form do your peptides ship in?

All peptides ship as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in sealed sterile vials. Lyophilization maximizes stability during shipping and storage.

What is the shelf life of your peptides?

When stored properly at -20°C or below, lyophilized peptides remain stable for at least 24 months from the manufacturing date. Batch-specific expiration dates appear on the vial label and accompanying COA.

How should lyophilized peptides be stored?

Store sealed vials at -20°C for long-term stability. Short-term storage at 2–8°C (standard refrigeration) is acceptable for up to 30 days. Keep vials protected from light and moisture.

How are lyophilized peptides reconstituted for research use?

Reconstitution is typically performed using bacteriostatic water or sterile water for injection, under sterile laboratory conditions. Appropriate volumes depend on experimental requirements. Genevium does not provide protocol guidance; researchers should follow established institutional procedures for their specific application.

How long are reconstituted peptides stable?

Stability of reconstituted peptides varies by compound and diluent. As a general guideline, refrigerated reconstituted solutions (2–8°C) remain stable for 14–28 days. For longer-term storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or -80°C. Consult your research protocol.

Research Use Only
What does “research use only” mean?

All Genevium products are sold exclusively for in vitro research and laboratory use. They are not intended for human consumption, veterinary application, diagnostic use, or therapeutic use of any kind. They are not FDA-approved drugs.

Who can purchase from Genevium?

Genevium products are intended for qualified researchers, laboratory professionals, and academic or commercial institutions conducting in vitro studies. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you are purchasing for research purposes only and agree to comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Can Genevium products be used for human or veterinary applications?

No. Our products are research chemicals. They are not manufactured, labeled, tested, or sold for human or animal use. Any such use is strictly prohibited and is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship?

We ship to the 48 contiguous United States. Orders to Alaska and Hawaii are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us before ordering at support@genevium.com

What are your shipping rates?

Standard shipping via USPS is a flat $12 on all orders. Orders with a post-discount subtotal of $150 or more ship free.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days. USPS standard delivery is 2–5 business days after shipment. Tracking information is emailed once your order ships.

How are peptides packaged?

Peptides ship in discreet, unmarked packaging. Lyophilized peptides are stable at ambient temperature for standard transit times and do not require cold-chain shipping. During extreme-heat periods, cold packs are available on request. Contact us before ordering at support@genevium.com

Do you ship internationally?

Not at this time. We ship only within the United States.

Orders & Payment
What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted payment methods are listed at checkout. Due to the specialized nature of research-chemical transactions, available methods may vary.

Can I modify or cancel an order after placing it?

Orders can be modified or canceled before they enter the processing queue, typically within two hours of placement. Contact us immediately at support@genevium.com with your order number. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled.

How do I use a discount code?

Enter your code in the “Coupon” field at checkout and click Apply. One coupon per order; coupons cannot be combined with other promotions.

Returns & Issues
What is your return policy?

Due to the nature of research chemicals, we cannot accept returns of opened or unopened product. All sales are final except in the case of damaged shipments or order errors (see below).

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

Contact us within 7 days of delivery at support@genevium.com with your order number and photos documenting the issue. We will replace affected product at no charge or issue a refund at our discretion.

What if my package doesn’t arrive?

Contact us if tracking shows your package as delivered but you have not received it, or if tracking has not updated for more than 10 business days. We will investigate with USPS and, where appropriate, reship or refund.
